Don't Get Sucked Into Overpriced Sunglasses

Don't Get Sucked Into Overpriced Sunglasses

Walk into just about any sporting goods store and you'll see sunglasses with price tags pushing $200, $300, or even more. Somewhere along the way, people started believing that the bigger the logo, the better the sunglasses.

We bought into it too.

Over the years, we've owned our fair share of expensive sunglasses from the biggest names in the industry. We've worn them fishing, boating, hunting, driving, and everywhere in between. Some were excellent. Some weren't. But one thing became clear: paying several hundred dollars didn't always mean you were getting several hundred dollars' worth of performance.

That's exactly why Throw Down Optics was created.

We Built the Brand We Wanted to Wear

Throw Down Optics wasn't created because we wanted to compete with every big-name brand.

It was created because we wanted a pair of sunglasses that delivered the features outdoor enthusiasts actually care about—without forcing people to pay a premium just for a famous logo. We're not saying branding isn't important.  It absolutely is.

A brand represents who a company is, what it stands for, and the community behind it. People wear brands they believe in, and we respect that.

That's why you'll see the TD logo on every pair of Throw Down Optics.  This logo isn't there just to look good. It represents the thought, testing, and commitment that went into creating a solid pair of sunglasses built for real outdoor use. When you see the TD logo, we want you to know you're supporting a company that believes quality shouldn't come with an unreasonable price tag.

We'd rather earn your trust than ask you to pay extra just because of our name.

Performance Comes First

When you're on the water chasing fish, driving into the sunrise, or spending an entire day outdoors, your sunglasses need to perform.

They need to reduce glare.

They need to provide dependable UV protection.

They need to stay comfortable from sunrise to sunset.

They need to be durable enough for everyday adventures—not just look good sitting in a display case.

That's what matters.

Not how much you paid for the logo.

Built for Real Life  Let's be honest—we've all been there.

You set your sunglasses on the boat console. You leave them at a restaurant.  They slide off your hat. They fall into the lake. They disappear somewhere between the truck and the boat ramp. Replacing a pair of sunglasses shouldn't feel like replacing a smartphone. That's one of the biggest reasons Throw Down Optics exists.

We wanted to create sunglasses you could wear every single day without constantly worrying about damaging or losing a pair that cost hundreds of dollars.

The Logo Doesn't Catch Fish The fish don't care what logo is on your frames.

The deer don't care. The sun doesn't care. What

matters is clear vision, reduced glare,

dependable protection, and gear you can count

on when you're outdoors. That's where our

  focus has always been.

Built for Everyday Outdoorsmen

Throw Down Optics is for people who actually use their gear.

For the early mornings at the boat ramp.

The long afternoons on the water.

Weekend hunting trips.

Road trips.

Backyard barbecues.

Everyday life.

We believe quality sunglasses should be accessible to hardworking people—not treated like a luxury item.

Don't Pay for the Hype. Pay for What Matters.

We believe in building dependable sunglasses at a fair price.

Not because cutting costs is our goal—but because respecting our customers is.

When you choose Throw Down Optics, you're not just buying another pair of sunglasses. You're supporting a company that believes quality, value, and honesty should always come before inflated price tags.

The TD logo stands for more than a brand. It stands for our promise to keep building sunglasses with real purpose, real performance, and real value.

These aren't your ordinary throwdowns. These just work.
